Australian Patient Achieves Remarkable Early Response with BIOOCUS Medical Group’s Dual CD19/CD20 CAR-T Therapy for Relapsed DLBCL
Rodney Charles Monger, a 68-year-old gentleman from Australia, was diagnosed with diffuse large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) three years prior. Seeking advanced care, he turned to BIOOCUS Medical Group in August 2025. A cervical lymph node biopsy confirmed invasive B-cell lymphoma of germinal center origin. By day 7, CAR19+ rose to 1.68% (1.40 × 10⁷/L) and CAR20+ to 1.63% (1.36 × 10⁷/L). On day 10, CAR19+ reached 31.43% of CD3+ T cells (absolute value 3.13 × 10⁸/L) and CAR20+ reached 32.74% (absolute value 3.26 × 10⁸/L). Flow cytometry further showed balanced distribution across CD4+ and CD8+ subsets with strong dual CAR expression, illustrating the therapy’s ability to promote robust in-vivo persistence and proliferation.
At the latest follow-up (day 10), Mr. Monger continues to do well clinically. He is on a tailored oral medication regimen including acyclovir, compound sulfamethoxazole, orelabrutinib, lenalidomide, and supportive agents, with regular monitoring of blood counts, liver and kidney function, and inflammatory markers.
