Endometrial cancer stage IVB-04

Patient: XXX

Gender: Female

Age: 55

Nationality: Norway

Diagnosis: Endometrial cancer stage IVB

The patient was a 55-year-old female, and the histopathology of the biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of poorly differentiated endometrial cancer stage IVB.

Low differentiation and high malignancy. Her tumor had metastasized and could not be completely removed by surgery. Further evaluation showed that the patients had reduced lymphocyte proportion and count and extremely low NK cell activity. Unable to tolerate the adverse effects, she abandoned chemotherapy and participated in a clinical trial of cord blood NK cells.

This patient received the first treatment in February 2021 and a second time 6 months later. For 4 consecutive days, one daily intravenous infusion and immunophenotyping was performed before and after each round of treatment.

After the first course of immunotherapy in the cord blood NK cells, the patient achieved a partial remission. Her physical strength, appetite, and sleep quality had all improved.

After the second course of treatment, the investigator performed a PET-CT scan. The scan showed a reduction of the right uterine hypermetabolic mass size and a significant reduction in uterine metabolism and volume compared with before treatment. Although the right femoral head mass and the right 10th and 11th rib metastasis were unchanged, the metabolism of the bone metastases was normal. Multiple lymph node metastases in the neck, mediastinum, retroperitoneum, and pelvis also disappeared.

After two courses, the physical status score decreased from 3 to 1 and the quality of life improved significantly.
